Age restrictions: All Ages. 4-Week Course. Want to take your fiddling to the next level? Having a performance opportunity to play in front of other people can help you see your playing in a new light. This class is all about individual feedback. You’ll want to prepare and memorize one song per masterclass session – 4 songs in total. I will help you build on your strengths and identify problem areas to work on, giving you the key adjustments to resolve the issues that may be holding you back. No matter what level you are, this class will help you reflect on how and where you can go to progress quickly and efficiently in your playing. Along the way, we will really have fun, and improving your fiddling will feel much, much more achievable by the end of the session (I promise)! You’ll gather so much information by watching and observing the feedback I give to the other fiddlers. Watch each other improve!

Age restrictions: All Ages. Week 1 – This four-session Intro to Swing Improvisation course will teach you all the how-tos of how to play and interpret a swing melody on fiddle! The first — and most important — ingredient to become a strong improviser is to have a clear sense of how to interpret and bow swing melodies. We’ll delve into the rich tradition of swing classics. Whether you’re an experienced swing fiddler or just delving into the style, the focus will be on learning the melodies and forms of songs such as It Had to Be You, Honeysuckle Rose, In A Sentimental Mood,  Sweet Georgia Brown, and more. Learn the melody, the chord progression, and how to swing your bows so that you have a strong foundation for my Swing I course coming in May. This class will give you the foundation you’ve always wanted to sit in on a swing jam!
