Come enjoy 90 minutes of playin,’ singin’, and swingin’ my favorite holiday songs. And you know me, these are nearly all Golden Age classics from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. From Irving Berlin’s White Christmas to Jule Styne’s Let it Snow, many Christmas classics were written by some of the greatest songwriters of all time, and they have become part of the Great American Songbook. We’ll be playing these songs in a swing style, and it just doesn’t get any classier than that!
The song list also includes Blue Christmas, Sleigh Ride, and a waltz, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear – as well as many more favorites. To honor both sides of my roots, we’ll also play Chanukah Oh Chanukah and a very cool, minor-key surprise. Oh, and we’ll also play Adam Kulakow’s original holiday song, Someday Soon, which is arranged for fiddle and guitar and has an old fashioned, sentimental holiday feel. This class will be accompanied by a songbook complete with melody, chords, and lyrics.
