This Swing Study Hall is a small-group opportunity for intermediate and advancing fiddlers to get some extra time to solidify all of the Swing Workout skills and go deeper with the repertoire. Description

Swing Study Hall
With Katie Glassman
Fridays: February 12, March 12
Time: 4:00 – 5:15 PM MST
Level: 2-3
Prerequisite: Swing Improv Workouts

This Swing Study Hall is a small-group opportunity for intermediate and advancing fiddlers to get some extra time to solidify all of the Swing Workout skills and go deeper with the repertoire. We’ll work through arpeggio patterns, licks, and solo ideas — and we’ll keep on “playing the changes” and connecting chord tones. I’ve built this class to help you internalize the relationship between melody, chords, and improvisation, and to help you get more comfortable with some of the complex aspects of playing swing. This “study hall” will be all about meeting you at your level and helping you become an improviser with a natural swing feel. Also, with a small group, I’ll be able to give more individual feedback. Let’s keep on swingin’!
